Meza and more....
Folsom is an absolutely beautiful area!! There are so many great places to photograph families as well as engagements! Two weeks ago I was fortunate enough to photograph a family with kids and grandkids...it was fabulous! They were a great bunch and fun to work with! The spot wasn't our firtst choice, but a fallen tree blocked the path to the final destination. Take a look at this wonderful family!

Catch Up...
Potential clients frequently ask me..."is photography a part time job".
This is such a loaded question for me! My primary "job" is taking care of my daughter, husband, house and self. I am a photographer because I love it and it provides incredibly flexible hours! Do I spend 40+ hours a week taking pictures? No, and I haven't met a photographer who does. Do I spend 40+ hours a week researching, investigating, creating, brainstorming, adjusting, modifying, capturing and photographing....I don't think I ever stop. Just about very event, every smile I see gives me a new idea for a future photograph.
I have been sick over the past week, and let me tell you.....one week away from photography is just the same as being away from the tax or audit department at a CPA firm (my previous jobs). The world doesn't stop! My phone still rings constantly, clients still need answers ASAP, and my deadlines stand still while time flies by!
I appreciate the patience of my clients in the last week and the wonderful love and understanding from my friends and family trying to help me catch up! You are all so fabulous and I wouldn't be half the person I am today with out each of you! Thank you!
So, to cut it short....the Nate and Erin proofs are finally up in their entirety as of this 1am Friday morning! I have to provide the Donat family and the Nydegger family their proofs with in the next few days and I have the Hague's and a preschool class to post in the next week. I am positive I am forgetting someone, but I will catch them in the next week as well.
In the mean time, I must get to bed...I have engagement photographs in S.F. tomorrow! I am so excited! Check back soon for all of the new photos!

Tired of being sick
Well after the stomach flu last week, I got the regular flu with fever and general yuckyness. When it rains it poors! I guess I should be used to that with the weather in the last few months. I am behind on uploading photographs. Hopefully this week will be more productive. In the mean time I'm going back to bed!

Update...
It has been a very busy week! I was able to take photographs of two separate families earlier this week. Of course the week ended with my daughter and I getting the stomach flu. Needless to say I was out of commission for a few days.
I will be uploading the proofs for the Ellis wedding this weekend. Check them out:

Check back in a few days for the Donat family portraits and later this week for the Nydegger's and Hague's portraits.
