Gotta Love the rain…
Seriously, when it rains it pours. Things are actually absolutely fabulous personally and professionally, I couldn’t really ask for more.
Computers….they are taking over our lives. You may not realize how dependent you are on them. But try being with out the internet and then rebuilding your computer. You may not realize how many programs you have accumulated over the years to get you where you are today. I started making a list of all the things I am having to add back onto my computer that I just didn’t think about (I will then burn DVD’s of all the add on’s and downloads and put them with my off site storage)! Like MS XP Image resizer…it is a breeze, I love it. Took me 20 minutes to find it on the MS website today. Finally get the proofs done, resized and ready to upload. Wait, I can’t seem to log into my proof website. What was the password again? (I haven’t had to use my password in months!!) May not matter, it looks like there website is down. Let me add, I realize now that pregnant women have a hard time sitting in certain positions for a long period of time. Of course so do the expected little ones. I feel like Ripely in the movie aliens when I sit at the computer too long. I swear I can see his body moving across my tummy.
The best thing to note….I LOVE MY JOB!! I LOVE BEING A WIFE AND MOM!! There is nothing like them in the world. I highly recommend to all….be a photographer…get married and have at least one kid to spoil (animals count)!!
Thank you all for stopping by and for your wonderful comments. I will get some photographs up soon…I have a wedding and several portrait sessions I just haven’t posted yet. See ya soon!

You know, the whole password thing is so true! I have all mine stored in the computer (shame on me, but my computer itself is also password protected). I would be in trouble if my computer went down and I didn’t remember my passwords to all my sites!!
Glad to hear everything is going great!!!
btw, what program do you use for resizing?
I use Microsofts
Image Resizer
This PowerToy enables you to resize one or many image files with a right-click.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
If you open a file exporer window, sort by file size in the folder (which will separate the files into a landscape and portrait view by default), then right click on the files, click “resize pictures”, click “advanced >>”, click “custom”, enter the pixel dimensions you want the files to be and for me I click resize original pictures (I have a “web” folder I copy images into before resizing..I mess up frequently and this helps) so it doesn’t add the word “custom” to the file name. And walla…you have resized pics. It’s fast (200 photos under 3 minutes) and consistant. I usually just set it and get a drink and then come back to my computer. I have printed off the resized (1330×2000) files and they are what I upload to my proof website. Each file is anywhere between 100kb-500kb. If you have something that works better, let me know!! I am always willing to try something new!!
I HATE being without a computer. My hard drive on my laptop died recently and I had to put all of my programs back on again. I’m not super organized, so it took forever finding all the disks I needed and then forever to put them on. I feel for you. I hope your delivery goes well. Try to relax (ha, ha) and enjoy the new baby

Jen, do you like the MS program better than pix resizer? How did the pics of Andrew come out? I am going to do a post soon on him but poor guys since he is family, I know I can make him wait.
Oh my it’s been way too long since I’ve last visited your site. I can’t believe how incredibly busy you’ve been, new home, new baby on the way, computer issues, wedding galore, seniors, babies, oh my goodness. It’s obvious you are so blessed. You’re work is amazing! It’s so good to catch up with your blog, I can’t believe I’ve let it go this long. Bob and I wish you the a truly blessed delivery of a beautiful, healthy baby!! Congratulations are long over due from us! Take care and remember to breathe! ~ Dawn
Hi Jen….
We just went through debugging our sick computers…thinking the critters came in through our son’s myspace. So goodbye myspace….!!!
All clean now….feels good to know that…all the creepy crawlies are gone.
So you have your own office how wonderful for you!!!! Enjoy….sounds like you are.

I rarely ever write anything anymore since I’m constantly on a computer. My penmanship has really gone down the drain. This entry is a good reminder that I need to go back up all my files now!
You’re so right on with our dependence on computers. Yikes, I don’t know how long it take before serious withdrawl would occur!
