Adam & Karen
I was lucky enough to not only photograph their engagement session in beautiful Mapleton Utah but I was also fortunate enough to photograph them at the Sacramento Temple. These two are incredible sweet and they smile constantly!
The first wedding where I actually shot RAW and used Lightroom to post process. I am excited of all the neat things I can do with these photographs but the process has slowed me down soooooo much I don’t think I will switch over to RAW just yet for the rest of my weddings.

When do you think is the right time for BLUE?
love the shot on the right with the water flowing! Very cool.
my computer is not nearly capable of handling so much RAW right now
beautiful job on another wedding!
I think these look great! Love the clouds on the second image. The water one is cool too. Yeah since I shoot raw, I cannot quickly put up a xanga post. I am so behind on posting.
Hey Jennifer,
RAW weddings definitely take some SERIOUS computer power. The bottom line is that if RAW slows you down and doesn’t give you a HUGE advantage, don’t use it. Lighroom can process JPG images just as easily as it can process RAW images, the only thing is that you don’t get the actual WB presets back, you just get a WB slider that warms / cools the image. I use JPG + Bridge CS3 now for almost all my events, and I only shoot RAW when I truly need it, like when I want the ut-most quality for a landscape print, or when I’m shooting in horribly dark situations with nasty man-made lighting…
But that’s the beauty of LR and Bridge CS3- You can just dump RAW images and JPG images side-by-side into the same “ORIGINALS” folder, and process them side-by-side. Maybe I’ll shoot a ceremony and reception in JPG, but maybe I jump to RAW for the super-important portraits or something…. No problem!
Take care, and oh by the way- Joy said yes! I’ll post all the details about the proposal situation as soon as I can…

thanks for your comment! yeah i like shooting in raw too. sometimes i mess up on the color balance and ewww that can get hairy to fix.
I understand the RAW thing, well kind of.. I have a couple images that I shot in RAW to try it out, and I have yet to convert them and play with them.. Ah well, in time I guess. great images though, love the lighting.
Love the water shot. Great work.
