  • Studio Class

I took a studio lighting class at the local communicty college to finish my second certificate in photography.  The following are the photographs I turned in for my portfolio.  The lab shot was a light set up created by the teacher and modified by my group.  The perfume shot was a shot created by my group with a little help from me (Robin was in the group).  The rest were me at home with my new Alien Bees.

On another note...xanga is ignoring my continuing e-mails with regards to my comments not posting to xanga blogs.  I apologize and hope that some day they actually get it together.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Jen,

Congrats on completing your studio lighting class.  Your images are fantastic!!!  I came by again to tell you that I did not get your message again but reading this post, I know you're aware of this.  I would bet this all started when you began using one of the Xanga themes???Happy New Year!!!!xoxoxo~ Dawn

  • Yay, I bet it feels good to be done!  I love the Christmas tree one with the gels on the wall!!

  • nice!!!
    congrats on your class!

I look forward to seeing your newly acquired skills in action!

  • good job! learn your ratios well and METER and you'll be set!

Be careful with those alien bees. I hope you are using pocket wizards. they have horrible feedback problems because they aren't grounded. you can fry your camera pretty easy.Save up from some calumets or a hensel kit. they will do much better for you in the long run. For now- enjoy your new lighting freedom!once you learn lighting direction, control, and know your ratios well, you will become a lighting pro. just keep practicing and experimenting!

  • Great shots!!!  That sounds like you had a great time in that class. -Jen
