Good new is, I have been keeping busy.  Check back soon for engagements, bridals and a few other tidbits!

    Best wishes!

  • Terri&Matt

Tonight I photographed the wedding of these two incredibly relaxed, adorable and sensationally sweet couple.  Our day started at the Buddhist Church of Sacramento and then we headed over to the Sacramento Convention Center for a wonderful reception.

  • TAXES....

March 15th is an important date for many in this Country as it is the day certain tax returns are due.  Of course personal returns aren't due until April 15th.  I can't tell you how much I hate the entire tax process.  Not just because at the end of the day you could be paying half of your income (Income, Gas, Sales, Property, Gift, Death) to the Government, but it is the process of paying taxes that really frustrates me.

The tax collectors assume you are guilty until you prove you are innocent.  Therefore, you have to be knowledgeable in all aspects of accounting, taxation and law in order to ensure you don't loose your shirt.  Of course if you are not "all knowing", you are supposed to be able to rely on the professionals. Let me tell you, not all CPA's are experts in taxation.  Just like not all lawyers are experts in criminal law or not all teachers can teach physics or not all doctors can perform brain surgery.  The tax law is not just confusing because of the way things are written, but you also have to know any judgements that have been cast on particular issues as they can set a precedents.

So if your not an expert, you run a risk of loosing allot or even going to jail.  For what?  Services that we benefit from right?  Of course everyone knows how poorly the government spends the money...Health care, Education, retirement...pick a topic I am sure each one of you have an opinion on how you could spend the billions of dollars our Government receives just a little more effectively.

Okay...I will leave it at that..I know we could all go on for hours on this topic. I wish you the very best with your corporate returns due today as well as your personal returns due in a month!!

  • Colorado...

On Saturday,  I flew to Colorado to check out a few potential living places and to photograph an engagement session.  I went through Parker (the pinery), Castle Rock (castle pines) and Evergreen.  Unfortunately, the scenery was no where near as beautiful as the shots I took in Utah. The last shot is from the airplane leaving Utah.
