SWOP
I had a fabulous time this week meeting and hanging out with the top wedding professionals in Sacramento! Sacramento Bridal Magazine SWOP event was held this week at Chops Steak Seafood and Bar. Carlos Rivera was the photographer for the event and the D.J. was Music in Motion.

Jill & Chad
It isn't often that I am honored to attend/photograph a wedding celebration where BOTH the bride and groom have served our Country. From the sermon during the ceremony to the toast at the reception, I became aware how everyone else was honored as well. These two are amazing and beautiful (inside & out)! These two were married in earlier this year at the Grand Island Mansion.
Okay, I have 6 weddings, 1 engagement session and 3 portrait sessions to share. Not to mention a few photos of our cute little pup and our 1st garden!
Best wishes,
Jen

Andrea & Marc
These two cool cats were married at Sun City Lincoln Hills Golf Club in Lincoln in April.
I am curious if you notice anything a little off about these two photographs? Not sure? Notice that the groomsmen are dressed up as baseball players. One might wonder why the groom's cake is a basketball, well the happy couple was wondering the same thing. At least the cake arrived in one piece!!
A photographer can only do so much to get everyone in the bridal party to look at the camera and smile. Althought the ring bearer is a little out of the pack at least we got one photograph with him and the bridal party with out tears.
The happy couple...full of personality and love!!
Feeing eachother can be romantic or a complete disaster. I love how these two are look at eachother eye to eye!!
So a photo of a photo? Sorry, I just love baby photographs!
I love it when a couple sings to each other during there first dance!!
Catching the bouqet is an honor at any wedding!
Of course no wedding night would be complete with out alarms going off and the fire department arriving full force. Unfortunately Andrea & Marc had the last hour of their reception interrupted by a faulty alarm. They kept smiling and posing for photos! Such a great couple!!
See the rest of their photographs in their on-line gallery
As you may have noted, these photographs are from an April wedding. I still have 8 weddings to process and post along with an engagement session and a little post wedding bridal session. Check back soon!

This was also the first wedding I worked with Hilary Gruber ( You may remember her as Hilary & Travis, one of my previous brides). Here are a couple of her images she took during the day.

Guestbooks
In 2006 I began creating guest books from engagement sessions. These books are used in place of frames and other guest books at weddings. These books incorporate photographs from the bride and grooms engagement session as well as other snapshots from their time together. The space on each page allows guests to leave messages or sign their names the day of the wedding as well as take a peak at a few photographs of the couple. The fabulous part about these books is that they aren't just a lined book with a bunch of signatures or a frame you can place on your wall. These Guest books allow you to place your engagement photographs and messages from your friends and loved ones on your coffee table to browse when ever the fancy strikes.
They are not only incredibly fun to create but they are a fabulous way to tell a story. This year alone I have been privileged enough to create eight guest books for my clients using their engagement photographs. Take a peak at the gallery.

Do be careful when creating any book with on-line book companies. Make sure you have a copyright release or license to use the photograph in the book. As Blurb.com would say..."you don't want to mess with Mickey Mouse"
I am finally sitting down at my computer to process weddings. I have 5 to share from the last month or so...check back in the next couple of days!!
Best wishes,
Jen

We Moved!
This week has been absolutely crazy!! We finally got the keys to our new place...last friday at 5pm. We got everything in and then my hubby left for 2 weeks for training in WA. The indoor photos are nothing we would want to share at this point but here are a couple of the outdoors....
We have been waiting almost 2 years for the market to improve while living in one rental after another. Every night my hubby would sit at his computer and look at home prices in certain areas, tracking what has sold and for how much. He had been tracking the area we were renting and he found a few bank owned properties. Well, one thing led to another and we made an offer we thought would surely be turned down. To our surprise (and the realtors) they actually accepted it!
I can't tell you how excited we are to finally have our own place where we hope to grow old together in. We have been absolutely blessed in our lives with two beautiful children and two careers that keep us running and smiling every day.
